This is a downtown building that has being very poorly turned into accomodation. The hotel is in an area that is not considered family friendly with adult entertainment directly next door and all around. The room I booked was an economy, the only thing available due to a large trade show in town, and was dull, dirty and depressing. I... more

The room was far less than clean and it was falling apart. The owner-secretary was not willing to give us our money back, even though they gave us a dirty, devastated room. The electrical cables had been torn almost off and revealed. Suggestion: For a 10 euros more go to another decent hotel, where you can have a clean shower... more

NOT RECOMMENDED. The Hotel Modern, while close to the main train station, is located in a seedy neighborhood and on a busy street meaning high noise levels. While seedy, it is not dangerous at night.
