We stayed for one night. Its a traditional Bavarian hotel in a really beautiful location. Friendly and helpful staff. Cozy place. Delicious breakfasts which were included and free parking. Room was clean and very nice. I like the mountain hotel style. Very nice surroundings. Extremely good value for money, I can highly recommended.

We stayed here for one night on a 2 week driving tour. The hotel is very old and the rooms are in need of being updated. We stayed in some very old places on our trip, but they at least had nice furniture and carpet. The carpet looked like it had been there since the 1950's and was not very... More

Very basic room with old furniture and no balcony. Small bathroom. Very smelly place (the burn smell from the kitchen all over the building). Basic breakfast. Dining room outdated. Far from town. No English spoken. Very strange people living in some rooms (not travelers anyway). Very expensive compared to other locations. I would say 2 *

The Gasthof Waldluft is a hearty family owned guesthouse situated on the hillside of the mountain leading up to Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest). If you are lucky to get a balcony you will be able to enjoy a great view of the picturesque village of Berchtesgaden. Although, with a great view comes also a short but steep path to reach the... We enjoyed a single night stay at this hotel in August. It was nice enough and great value for money but definitely not one of the nicer stays we have enjoyed in Europe. The rooms are very basic, not as clean as I would expect, and we had no balcony (despite booking one on Booking.com). There was no soap or... More

Pros: Amazing mountain views! We got one of the rooms with a balcony and one of the best parts of our trip was sitting out there each night watching the sun set. The staff was very friendly and helpful, though they do only speak German, so that could be an issue for some. Breakfast was included and was tasty. Hotel... More

Should have looked elsewhere when it took them over a week to get back to me with an offer to my inquiry. We stayed in one of the two apartments and actually stayed an extra night but only to do more activities in the area, not for the house. Dining room way outdated, apartment decor dark and old, miss matched.... More

Spectacular view and had and enjoyable stay! The gasthof is about 20 mins walk from Berchtegaden Hbf. While it is a nice walk to the gasthof, with luggage you will need another 15 mins. The location is quiet and the staff were very helpful. Special thanks to Ruddigar who helped us with bus and ferry timetable to Konigsee and gave... More

We stayed at Gasthof Waldluft for three nights and enjoyed our time. Although slightly quirky, the accommodations were comfortable, the dinners were hearty, and the views were spectacular. We took the recommendation of another guest and visited the Therme, which was wonderful! The only downside was that the internet did not work, which was something we had planned on having... More

We adored our stay at Gasthof Waldluft. We noticed a few negative reviews on Booking.com, but not here, and the reviews here are more accurate to our experience. The owners, waiters, cooks, everyone, made us feel so at home at the Waldluft. Our German is a little shaky, but we asked Frau Kurz to speak slowly and she did. The... More
