Really beautiful and romantic place. Excellent service, smiling and efficient staff (speaking also English and some French). Generous breakfast with very large choice of also local typical food, lunch somehow limited in choice (buffet with a choice of two warm meals) but fine. Rooms decorated in local style, romantic, nice bathroom. Surprisingly no hair conditioner available, well other standard products... More

We have just returned from a 2 night break at the Hotel Engel and would thoroughly recommend it. We arrived without a booking, late in the day just needing somewhere to stay and hoping that they could accomodate us. We do not speak any German but fortunately several of the staff spoke English and we were shown all 3 of... More
