Good hotel, polite and helpful staff. Spa area is a nice addition althought quite small. Rooms are relatively small taken that on skiing holidays you will propably carry a lot of gear with you. Ski lockers however, are spacious but dampness is a big problem. Hotel is situated perfectly right in front of slopes and Val D´isere center is just... More

Just come back from staying at the Savoyarde. Very average hotel, family room not as described when booking, we felt as though we had been shoved up in the eves. Having seen the family room next door when leaving we felt we had had a poor deal as that room was how it was described and as we imagined when... More

The Savoyard hotel in Val D'Isere is a well placed ski hotel. Its main areas, lounge, bar, restaurant and sports facilities are well appointed and cosy. The open fire in the living room helps add ambiance. The rooms are sparse but clean, and the lack of a decent shower in the bathrooms (this was our scond visit) can be frustrating,... More

On the plus side: -Location near the slope, near the grocery store and even near the skating rink. -Average breakfast but good dinner -The smiles at the reception desk -Isabelle and the portugeese Maitre d'H -Hall with a bar opened all day -Confortable but small bedrooms overlooking the slopes -Clean and surprisingly large enough bathroom -Great cleaning staff On the... Geez, where should i start... Was it the view, the food, the rooms, the location or even the friendliest staff ever?! The good thing about this Hotel is that every aspect is as better as the previous one. Perfectly located in the heart of Val d'Isere and right next to the mechanical chairlift, you are in a ideal spot to... More

It is easy to have a soft spot for this hotel: the location is perfect (slopes 5 mins walk, Val high st 10 seconds), the staff are very friendly, the bar is cosy, the beds are ok, the food is pretty good. However, FYI: the decor is tired (eg our room had wooden tongue/ groove on the ceiling, you almost... More

The faulty towers of Val D'isere, run by over weight owner dressed as a 1930 skier. Rooms are appalling, food OK. When you try and complaint about the terrible service due to being understaffed (not the staffs fault) they wheel out the 85 year old great grandma to deal with you, so you might as well talk to the wall. Stayed 7 days 26th Feb 2011 in room 102, brilliant for a skier, no view but easy access to ski room. Plentiful hot water, comfortable mattress & reasonable linen. Large radiator in bedroom & bathroom for drying ski gear. I had booked this hotel having stayed there some years ago when the food was almost worthy of a Michelin star,... More

Stayed here for 4 nights with friends. We choose this as the location is excellent and it was half the price of Avenue Lodge where we had stayed last time. It is more traditional than Avenue Lodge and not as fancy, but it was perfectly adequate. We had junior suites which offered plenty of space and a balcony. Certainly a... More
