Stayed here for three nights with a friend for a ski trip and were very impressed! The staff were lovely and helpful. Hotel Altitude in Val d'Isere is a nice place to stay. Summer prices are much lower than in the winter, so very affordable. We booked b&b for 50 euro's a night (one person). We were expecting a lot more from this hotel as it was quite expensive. The location is pretty good for lifts and the town, as long as you don't mind crossing the piste (no problem for us).
