I arrived after a long drive ready for my dinner. However the restaurant was dreadful. The food smelt horrendous and was badly cooked. We didn't end up using the restaurant - which is purported to be excellent - as we'd arrived a little too late to want a full meal, however the gentleman at reception proved very helpful and usefully spoke better English than my French, so the checking-in experience was completed smoothly.
