Sorry Dee and Alex, only the second best stay out of 12 on the walk. Moors Farm North of Welshpool just pipped you. Excellent in all respects. Alex, enjoy your retirement and to both of you many many thanks for a great last night on the walk. A lovely home, room, en-suite, food and the little things that do make... More

Walking Offa's Dyke from North to South, we arrived at Valeside after our first day's walk. What a delight to relax it a really welcoming B&B. Dee and Alex were friendly, making sure we had all we needed. The room was very comfortable and I enjoyed a soak in the ensuite bath. Siiting in the spacious guest lounge on the... More

We were looking for a B&B to stay while we walked the last three legs of Offas Dyke path from Llangollen to Prestatyn. After reading reviews of Valeside we had high hopes and we weren't disappointed. A beautiful, clean home with stunning views over the Vale of Clwyd and a warm welcome from Dee and Alex. Wonderful fruit salad for... More

Having walked Offas Dyke path South to North staying in a number of B&bs Valeside was the best! A warm welcome from Dee, the owner, with a cup of tea and toasted teacakes served in the very comfortable guest lounge. Everywhere was sparkling clean and fresh-looking and we enjoyed a good nights sleep in a king-size bed. A selection of... More

Although one of the most expensive stops on the Offas Dyke walk it was worth it in terms of the welcome ,comfort , the view from the guests lounge window, and location. If only more B & B establishments in the UK were as good as this.Dee sets a standard. We would stay there again. More

We stayed here while walking the northern half of Offa's Dyke. It was one of our nicest overnight stops. We were warmly welcomed, had a soothing hot bath, a good sleep and a great breakfast. We asked for packed lunches. My wife likes tomatoes but doesn't like them in her sandwiches, so Dee offered to put some small tomatoes into... More

Spacious rooms on the ground floor were a welcome site. Dee welcomed us with tea and cakes and spent a good deal of time conversing with us. She is a wonderful hostess. Our breakfast and packed lunches were top notch. The pub is about one-half mile, away, but it is not a bad walk. More
