good clean basic hotel staff helpful,breakfast worth 6 euros in nice,close to train stations no frills but spotless, good value for money,in nice you want to be out and about,not using hotel facilities so why pay for them .will use this hotel again. more

My wife and I have just returned from a three night stay in this hotel. It is ideally located for exploring Nice, but the receptionist (guy wearing denim shirt) should get a hard lesson in customer service. Just returned from 4 night stay at the Trocadero. Tremendous value at the price. Room was spotlessly clean. Excellently positioned just around the corner from the train station. Beach is a 15 - 20 minute walk away ( main tram line runs down this route and only costs a euro if you're not feeling energetic). The number 99 bus runs... more

I was really impressed with this hotel. It was very clean, the rooms were smart, very clean and a reasonable size and with air conditioning. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The area around the station is verging on a little dodgy at first glance but I felt safe at all times. more

2min walking from the railway station so we didn't carry our heavy luggage for long on arrvial and departure. It was a huge room (#455) for even 4persons, two double beds and two balconies (20sqm). The bathroom was huge too with one balconies (8sqm). All windows are perfect in noise reduction. It's a bit noisy as close to the train... more

We stayed at Hôtel Trocadéro twice, first was in June 2007, second time as listed in June 2008. There isn't anything "special" about the hotel but the rooms are clean, the bathrooms have been recently renovated, (they weren't the first time I stayed) the beds are comfortable and the rooms are quite large.
