Stayed in a Studio4 for 2 nights .There is a double bed in one room and bunk beds in entrance , door between so can be separated. Loo is seperate to bathroom also. Stayed in "studio for 4" which was a small but well equipped apartement central in La Rochelle. Near the harbour and trainstation (2 mins walk to both), and 15 mins walk to main bus station. An excellent budget hotel, very friendly staff, clean and warm (we went in February). The kitchenette facilities are fine for holiday catering and the Maeva is very handy for all local shops and cafes. Only 100 mtrs from the station and 50 mtrs from the main quay. Overall excellent value.

We spent a week at Maeva. Initial welcome excellent.Room a little basic,but,depending on the price you pay...good value. I agreetotally with gazcam. M review would mirror his. Our room did have a bit of traffic noise first thing in the morning, though. Maybe another side would be quieter. La Rochelle is a lovely place for a few days. We spent 5 nights there. I would recommend, but read the reviews.

For a family of four travelling on a bit of a budget this was ideal accommodation for us.
