If you want a sea view, this is the hotel for you! The hotel staff were very freindly and helpful, and if you need it, speak good English. Pity they don't serve dinner, but the breakfast, athough a little expenciv,e was very good. Le Mail Restaurant which is about 500m is very good. Don't be put off by the exteriour.

A great hotel 15-20 minutes walk along the coast from the centre of La Rochelle. Perhaps not for families as there is no beach nearby, but all in all a very good hotel. The size of the armagnac in the evening was distinctly large
