We stayed here at the end of our trip. We had a studio apartment which had all the utensils you needed. Bathroom wasn't that great and the air conditioning was very loud and emitted a weird smell when initially turned on. Bed was very bouncy - if one of us moved, the other one was launched from the matress! However,... More

We stayed one night in one of the € 85 per night studios. Outside, the studio's terrace was teeming with weeds and it looked like it had been neglected for a long time. The steps to the terrace were full of rubble and stones. None of the swimming pools were in order, one was empty and the other one had... More

I stayed here with my children (11 and 7) after a weeks camping - the luxury given by the htoel was most welcome! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was luxurious and very clean. The hotel is in a beautiful area just outside the town of Saumur. It's a 5 minute drive to the Chateau overlooking the... More

Picked as overnighter on way home from south west. Very difficult to find due to being given side alley's address which wasn't in sat nav. Was pleased when we did. Friendly arrival from mine host (lady) small, but clean and adequate room nicely decorated. Although shower head broken .Excellent views and food, although we stupidly allowed the young sommelier to... More

We stayed for four nights in this hotel as part of our trip to Normandy, Brittany and the Loire Valley. It's nicely located; just outside Saumur and situated on a height so that you can see the Castle in the distance. Though you would need to have a car to get around. On arrival we got quite a frosty reception... More

Bed is comfortable. However the service is terrible. At my fist night I the hotel was out of hot water at night. I went to the hotel manager to ask about this issue. The hotel manager didnt even apologize and said there is nothing they can do. So I end up having a cold shower at night. The second thing... More

My family (2 adults, 3 kids under 12) stayed for one night on our way to the Vendee. Saumur is a pleasant Loire town with several excellent local wine producers. The hotel is 5/10 minutes drive out of town on a hill top. It has excellent views of the Loire valley. Our kids enjoyed the small swimming pool and had... More

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now - previously it was called the Clos des Benedictins and the previous management and staff were excellent. It is slightly out of Saumur in the St Hilaire suburb up at the top of the hill opposite the Cadre Noir. The room facilities are ok with comfortable beds (although there are... More

Even arriving late, we were allowed in one of the pools - didn't realize they had cabana style accomodations as well! But the hotel is quite nice, the dining is truly excellent - not just in taste but in presentation AND imagination. The price was perfect and we ate in the restaurant more than we'd planned - what a pleasure.... More

We stayed in one of the apartments that is part of this small hotel complex. The property has a children's play area and 2 swimming pools. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable. We did not use the restaurant, preferring to drive into Saumur to eat in a variety of restaurants, but the menu looked... More
