Travelled to Rouen with my mother. Very nice quaint hotel in the centre of Rouen. The owners can't do enough for you. Very helpful and friendly and they speak English but are happy to listen to you murder french if that's the way you want it. Its a good price for what you get. Drawbacks: The cathedral bells can be... More

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A very traditional, old hotel with atmosphere to boot! This is the 'grandfather' of hotels - comfortable, discreet, quiet and well decorated, in line with the age of the building, and yet all the mod cons you could need (flat screen tv, powerful shower). If you... More

First of all the building and the entire block for that matter are in the heart of the historical district, which makes beautiful pictures. Overall we all loved it, we had a quad room (2 full size beds) on the 2nd floor and despite the age of the hotel they have an elevator, which helps a lot. The first inconvenience... More

We stayed at this hotel during Thanksgiving (US Holiday) 2011. November 22 – 24, 2011. Two nights. First off, the hotel’s location is exceptional and smack in the middle of anything you would want while staying in Rouen. It is in the old district of the city where many of the buildings date back 500 years and have been restored... More

The hotel entrance is 3 meters from the church wall! the hotel has an inner courtyard that is quite photogenic. the room was just fine, the breakfast was sumptuous. the staff looked after it all but were very inobtrusive. The location, if you are seeing the Cathedral, is good but Rouen is a seedy town compared to the dozen others... More

Our quiet stay in May was very just what we needed to enjoy the city. Wish we'd stayed an extra day to enjoy. While you are not extremely close to restaurants and bars, there is a creperie just down the street that was an excellent lunch before we took off. Highly recommended for those traveling on a budget that want... More

The hotel is located right by the main cathedral, in fact right behind one of the walls. It's also close to another big cathedral (that we didn't get to see because it was being renovated). It's a short walk (5-10 minutes maybe) to the main square where you can find lots of restaurants and bars. There are other restaurants closer... More

We stayed here in August 2011. It's a place you ought to just see, so I'd add photos to my review. I liked the rural (or maybe vintage) decor of this hotel so much, that I took a lot of pictures. Really, I've never seen such a home-like hotel. It is situated on one of the central streets of Rouen,... More

Having stayed at this hotel, I am mystified as to why the other reviews of it are so good. It is in a great location in the centre of Rouen, the staff are friendly and the building is an old half timbered style which is interesting, but that's really the only good things I can say about it. I found... More

Yes, it's in a charming location. I would have liked it better probably had I not been there on business. There is practically no closet space, a big drag if you need to hang out a suit. Rooms on the street side can be noisy. If you have a room on the first flight up, you will here very much... More
