We arrived in Honfleur to a warm welcome from Vic and Sue. We had arrived on the early ferry and so were grateful to be able to dump our car, unload our bags and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee before wandering into Honfleur. La Maison de Lavande is a lovely property, our room was bright, fresh and clean with... More

We have just come back from our second visit to this quiet and very comfortable bed and breakfast. We were greeted as old friends, and once again Sue and Vic did everything possible to ensure our stay was a good one. Having previously stayed in the centre of Honfleur, we find that the ample ( free! ) parking is a... More

We had a recent trip to Honfleur for Valentine's Day, and were very pleased with our stay at La Maison de Lavande, which is on a hill just above the town. Our room was very comfortable, and though not particularly large, it was very pleasant to have the balcony with a lovely view over the garden. This B and B... More

We have just returned from a fine 4-day trip to Honfleur, where we stayed at La Maison de Lavande in the downstairs room, with the private semi-shaded terrace. We fully enjoyed the comfort of both room - clean, bright, cosy, not that spacious, but then again the private outside space amply makes up for that - and terrace. Moreover, we... More

We have just stayed with Vic and Sue for 4 nights at their lovely B&B near Honfleur. It was very clean, comfortable and relaxing. It was great to have our own terrace and being able to come and go as we pleased. The house has a spectacular garden shown off to good advantage over a long and leisurely breakfast. Vic and... More

We have just returned from a second stay with Vic and Sue and their lovely home was just as relaxing and perfect as we remembered. Nothing is too much trouble - booking restaurants, recommending places to visit and even freezing our ice-packs! The lovely, lazy, long breakfasts are a highlight, as are the terrace and the amazing garden. We feel... More

We visited Honfleur on our way back to the U.K. from the Django Rheinhardt festival at Samois sur Seine. What a gem Honfleur is; a really good find. But an even better find is this B and B (Chambre de Hote) Run by Sue and Vic Knight. Their home is set on a hill above Honfleur in superb countryside only... More

On our four week holiday, this stay was one of the highlight stays of the trip. After many experiences with B&B;s across France, this was one B&B we felt at home. Easy access to the room so we could come and go as we pleased, with a very pretty patio/garden to enjoy after a day of touring. Well done Sue... More

Sue and Vic are most welcoming hosts. We stayed in the ground floor room with its access to the private patio. The room was comfortable and the facilities clean and well designed. The continental breakfast was varied, with choice of fruits , yoghurts and pastries. Our hosts were attentive and able to offer excellent advice on travel and restaurants in... More

We stayed for 2 nights , made to feel welcome on arrival (motorbike friendly), perfect location. Accommodation was great (good nights sleep, clean room) private entrance into room. Secluded, private garden, patio, sunny with furniture, ideal spot to sit and relax while enjoying views of the garden. 10 minute walk (honest!) into Honfluer. We will be returning in the autumn!
