What a wonderful quirky hotel, fantastic room, very helpful staff, great breakfast and amazing location - well worth it, as is the rest of Honfleur, would like to keep this gem to our selves!

I stayed here once and loved it.
The second time I made a reservation through booking.com and I had to cancel.
I contacted the proprietor, Sylvie, directly within the time frame noted on the website for booking.com. She charged my credit card anyway. I protested the charge to her, through booking.com and through Visa. She would not refund the charge...

We loved the rustic, quirky charm of this Normandy gem! Our room was large and nicely decorated. Out the front door and a few steps into the charming town center and the lovely Honfleur Harbor. Breakfast was a bonus! Communicating with inn keeper was difficult.

The best feature was the historic setting and the mini garden. Rooms were OK. Breakfast acceptable but not really up to expectation. We found the stay pricey. Close proximity to the quaint harbour. Elderly guests need to be aware of steep steps up to some rooms which are difficult to navigate.

Having read the review below checked that everything was okay with our booking as it was our honeymoon too. All ok though and although Sylvie doesn't speak hardly any english she was helpful. The hotel is very stylish in it's shabby chic french way and the breakfast was truly delicious. It was well placed in Honfleur and quiet at night....

When planning our honeymoon which was a trip by car around numerous destinations of France we spent a lot of time researching places to stay in the beautiful port of Honfleur. L'Ecole Buissonniere seemed to be the ideal location for our first night in France and we were really excited by the prospect of staying there.
We went through booking.com...

I would love to be able to properly review this B&B as we spent months choosing it for our first stop on our honeymoon driving through France. It looks very unusual and I can vouch for it being in a fantastic location. Unfortunately, 5 minutes before we left for France on the euro tunnel, a few hours before we were...

Delighted to have arrived in Honfleur, but with nowhere to stay...got my Alastair Sawday Guide out but all the ones I liked were booked, or over e300. So I had a wonder along the narrow streets, then looking through an archway to an inviting courtyard a cat perched looking out as to say come in....so I did.
Greeted by owner...

Staying with Sylvia is a treat. The B&B is eclectic with each room slightly different, but all beautifully furnished and decorated. As noted in other reviews, Sylvia's English is not perfect, but she tries very hard to understand and to be understood. She has worked very hard to make us feel like treasured guests.
My mother and I stayed here...

We stayed A L'ecole Buissonniere for four nights. Honfleur is very picturesque and so is L’ecole. It’s straight in off the street and into a courtyard. The room we stayed was on the far side of the courtyard. It was described as a suite, but is actually two areas partially divided by some timber beams. The bathroom was off the...
