I used to think that the location of a hotel was the most important, everything else you could make do with if necessary. Not so! This was the only free hotel for our visit in Bayeux, we had no other choice; it may be well-situated BUT all else was horrible: room smelled bad, mildewy, and so small, no room for... More

I spent one night at this hotel with my girlfriend, finding it well located in the centre and rather cheap. Unfortunately, arriving at night, we didn't check well our room, the number 9, at the last floor, and we just went to bed. The following morning my girlfriend woke up with a hand and her neck covered with red and... More

We booked a stay here as it was cheap and in the centre of town. The place seemed fine (although don't expect anything special) until we discovered bed bugs not long after midnight. They were on the walls, the curtains and all through the bed. We got no sleep, trying to get them off the bed and out of our... More

I previously wrote a review about a visit in July during which after previously confirming my arrival time with the hotel, I arrived at the hotel to find it closed and with no way to contact the owner because the phone number we had was for the cafe/bar that was closed and served as the lobby, thus I was left... This was the only room left after my train was cancelled. At 2 am, I woke up and turned the light on, only to find myself and the bed, covered in bed bugs. Do NOT stay here. There are much better places for about the same price. The previous two nights I spent at Le Relais De La Tour Louise... More

We are not picky tourist but NEVER have we experience such terrible hotel with TERRIBLE attitude. Ignore the positive reviews... the Terrible reviews are all true. Booking.com and other internet hotel sites should banned them. The hotel does not have private bathroom so you have to share . They charge the same rate as Much better hotels in the vicinity.... this hotel was the only one left as we left booking our d-day hotels too late. we werent expecting much and although the owner is very rude, the place is not bad at all. it is clean which is important. it is a little overpriced for what it is but i certainly wouldnt avoid it at all costs. you would... I had confirmed my reservation with the hotel and my arrival after their normal check in hours via e-mail 3 days before my arrival. I received a positive response from the establishment (there should not have been confusion because our correspondance was indeed in French). When I arrived to the hotel at 9:30pm, the bar/cafe that serves as the front... More

Overpriced for what it is - a backpackers. Wifi did not work - I asked why - I was treated with utter contempt - a bothersome fly that should be swatted. I have never been treated like this by a person in the hospitality industry in my life and I am not a precious, wealthy, American tourist. I am a... More

This is overpriced backpacker's hotel. Please don't get cheated. When I checked in the hotel, the cashier ask for my credit card and charged the full amount before checking in( not a booking.com procedure). I checked the other much better hotels and the rates are the same. Please check the rates of Churchill Hotel and Hotel Reina Mathilde.... the room... More
