Stayed here for a rugby trip. The hotel is central but there was no noise from the street. The entrance hall was very pretty and welcoming. Many of the rooms seem to be African themed and ours was quite small, as were the rooms our friends occupied. Comfy bed with flat screen TV, very limited hanging and storage space, but... More

Have had to visit Castres twice this year and stayed in the Hotel D'Europe first time which was wonderful but this one is even better! The New York room we stayed in was excellent with good facilities and the breakfast was superb. More

Our group of travelling rugby supporters first visited this fabulous hotel in January 2011. We had such a super time that, when we were drawn to play Castres again in December 2011 there was no question that we would return to Hotel Renaissance. The hotel was just as warm, comfortable and beautiful as we remembered but what really made our... More

This hotel is in the backstreets of old Castres and it is absolutely charming and unusual in its decor. There is an eclectic mix of furnishings in the warm and inviting foyer and each room has a theme. We stopped in the Marrakesh room which was smallish, but adequate and warm. There are two things that in my opinion could... More

This was a very classy and comfortable room in a charming hotel. We stayed in the "New York" room which had all the creature comforts you coudl want, including a blow drier and a coffe machine. Some of the reception staff were less warm and helpful than others but the owner was very helpful and seemed very interested in making... More

Quirky hotel in centre of Castres. Genial hosts. We stayed in the Asia suite which had a comfortable super king size bed. The bathroom was long and narrow with a small bath, over the bath shower and separate loo. Breakfast was generous and tasty. The hotel is full of what looks like extensive souvenirs from travel and adds to it's... More

We had 3 nights in the oriental junior suite in order to visit the haute languedoc, an area new to us. The hotel could hardly be better positioned for the centre of town and is charmingly decorated and furnished in a style which suited this ancient building. Our room vas very comfortable and extremely quiet, the only nitpicks being a... More

We were travelling with friends - a mixed group of 14 - in Castres for a rugby match. M et Mme Belard could not have made us more welcome. The Hotel is a delight - the rooms charming and very individual. They vary in size and therefore also in price. One of our friends had a small room and the... More

We visited for the Edinburgh V Castres rugby match and were lucky enough to find this gem of a hotel. Set in a quiet street off the main town square it was ideally located and with valet parking, we didn't waste any time finding car parking which in Castres are scarce. The friendly staff couldn't do enough for us. The... More
