We have been there in September 2011, it was wine tasting trip and one of our stop was this chateau. We have traveled in a group of people and were very lucky to get the best (and the most expensive) suit ;) which was very nice and quite big, with mezzanine where was situated comfortable bed. Bathroom was nicely equipped... More

I was disappointed when entering the room. Very small room although the "chateau" is located in a vast plot of land. On internet, the room looks elegant and nicely furnished. In fact, it is only IKEA furnishes with a tiny bed and a tiny bathroom... even if we booked a "double collection" room, which was not the cheapest one on... More

Rooms were dirty, equipped with cheap stuff. Reviews with 5star rating are a total lie. Its rather a OK for a overnight, but nothing more. Has no ventilation, no heating, only cooler. So if you want your rooms warm - wont be possible. If you want not to be in a 'sauna' after your shower - wont be possible either.... More

We stayed at Chateau L’Hospitalet for 2 days. Synopsys: friendly people, great tranquil location, professional service at both hotel and restaurant. Highly recommend and will come back. By the time we got to the Chateau, we had been in France for 2.5 weeks, thus having stayed at 20 different hotels during that trip. (We travel internationally a lot and stay... More

We decided to celebrate my husband's birthday at the restaurant, because I had read about the new chef. Living in the area, we had been to the restaurant several times in the past; but, we had not returned for some time due to its poor service. This day we were warmly received and able to choose a nice table, overlooking... More

We were staying with friends who live some 30k away from Chateau L'hospitalet they thought it would be nice to try the restaurant for lunch 5 adults. The sevice was the worst I have had to suffer for a very long time and the food was not up to much either. The restaurant itself seemed nice and looked 4 star... More

As a local resident who has been dined here several times in the past, I took some friends to lunch and was greeted with awful service, poor food and terrible value for money. A sommellier that obviously dislikes customers finished it off. Give it a wide birth. More

This is not so much about the hotal but the cave or wine shop. Friends and I paid a visit and well worth while it was, just a great experience. While the others tried the wines I was allowed to get lose with the camera. So many places get so very precious about me doing this so to be made... More

Having tasted and been impressed by Gerard Bertrand's wine in London, we made a specific booking at the chateau. The staff were welcoming and our room was comfortable and large. The view of the vineyards is unbeatable. A nice touch is free wine in the mini bar and a voucher for wine-tasting, as well as a voucher for a free... More

I disgree with a few of the reviewers on here and I though we were quite fussy! The hotel is on a working vineyard, which was one of the reasons we stayed here for 2 nights. We were met at reception and taken to our room by a very nice English girl who was working there. We didn't arrive until... More
