I stayed in the hotel for one night and found it very pleasant. I felt very welcome at the reception. The rooms are not large but they are well furbished, and the decoration is modern and design. They are very clean and comfortable.
I would recommend you to book a room like the 209, which is not oriented on the...

When we arrived at the hotel we thought we had somehow managed to book the perfect hotel! The location is excellent, surrounded by bars, lovely restaurants and clubs, and a stones throw from the Bastille Metro stop.
But unfortunately is was pretty much all down hill from there. The reception staff were quite rude and unaccommodating throughout our stay, and...

Dear Guests,
You do were unlucky and we sincerely apologize for it. We were probably fully booked otherwise you should have had a bigger room. Concerning the bad condition of the room, we have suffered a small water damage in one of our room. Now, this room is like new but I guess it's a little comfort to you ....

Having read lots of reviews saying rooms in Paris are on the small side I was pleasantly surprised by our 3rd floor room here. Compact but well designed and nice clean black and white decor. There's three things I think hotels should try to get right,... a good shower, comfy bed and good thick curtains. All three were great here,...

My partner and I have stayed in Paris a few times, always on a budget and this is by far the best hotel we've stayed in. Very clean. Good size room, excellent spacious bathroom and lovely help yourself buffet breakfast. Will definitely go back.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a four night stay in Paris. I was looking forward to staying in the hotel as there had been many positive reviews but my expectations were surpassed. We arrived before the 2pm check in time but were told our room was already available - a huge bonus as we had a very...

I can't say enough good things about the staff at the Standard. I think it is best summed up with an anecdote. When we arrived - very tired from a long train trip - my 12 year old wanted to have food from a well known American fast food chain. When we asked where the nearest one of these restaurants...

Me and a friend went on a four day trip to Paris, having a few friends that live out there we wanted to be quite central and near the metro. This hotel was perfect for our trip, the room was a little small but ideal for two and the bed was a decent size. Good sized bathro. The location was...

Our room wasn't ready, then it was the wrong type of room..and it was too late to change it by the time the room was available. Could have dealt with that, but the staff was rude, in general. Bed was hard...
The sink literally takes up the entire bath counter so there's no place to put your toiletries.
We stayed...

Dear Guests,
We are so sorry you didn'enjoy your stay. Usually, our guests are happy with their stay even uf we are not perfect. It's true that some of our rooms or bathrooms are not very spacious and it seems yo have had one of them.
I believe instead that it's not correct that your room wasn't ready and was...

The problem with this hotel is not the Phillipe Starcke-esque plexiglass and 70s flashback motif, nor the proximity to the Place de la Bastille or Bd. Voltaire. The main problem is the nonstop revelry that takes place on the Rue de la Roquette (on weekends in particular) by 20-somethings and their dates, and in particular gathering at the busy cafe...

Dear Guests,
It's true that Bastille can be noisy.
The liveliness is what make this area attractive but it could also inconvenient if you want to have a good sleep.
We sincerely apologize for the trouble and if you trust us once again, we will give you a nice and quiet room on the back of the hotel.
Best regards,...
