we stayed in room 32, bit small (compact) but very clean and most important the bed was very comfortable. sheets were cleaned everyday. The only 2 drawbacks were a lack of mirrors in the room, not important but there was wall space for at least 2 and no tea/coffee making facilities, although you could help yourself to free expresso in... We loved this small boutique hotel located at the edge of the 14th/6th districts in Paris. It is close to great restaurants, the Metro and bus stops. The staff on the front desk are friendly, extremely helpful and speak English well. The included breakfast was very good with a variety of fresh pastries, fresh fruits and cereals. The room (#12)... This hotel is ideally located in the Latin quarter about a 25 minute walk to the Louvre. The rooms were very clean and well maintained but the "standard" room was very small, allowing only a small walk around area for the double bed. The bathroom was modern, clean and very compact. The breakfast buffet was very good and offered a... More

We loved this hotel, although it has 60 rooms it feels like a little intimate hotel. We were in a small standard room which had the small window opening into the central court yard area with no view apart from a wall, the room did get warm but the air con cooled it down. The room was beautifully decorated and... More

We stayed here between 6-9th April 2012. The hotel has ~ 60 rooms on 6 floors with lift and stair access. We stayed in very nice dluxe rooms on 5th floor with balcony and views over Boulevard Raspail. The hotel is a 20 minute ride from Gare du Nord on tube line 4 with no changes required. It is then... The friendly guy on the desk told us we were to have a "superior" room, though we had booked a standard one. Aha, good, we thought. Weeeeelll, mmm yes. I wonder what the standard one is like? (probably just a shower?) This was an OK, standard room. Small! We asked for twin beds, so by the time we had made... More

We were given what must be the worst room in the hotel. The so-called standard rooms do not have a window to the outside world. The windows open onto an air shaft, which is shared with the adjoining building. The room was dark and airless and not a healthy atmosphere for anyone with asthma or similar breathing issues. We would... More

Really enjoyed a 3 night break at Le Royal. Excellent staff who speak English but were happy for me to trash their language as well! (Yes, I think I probably do sound like the policeman from 'Allo 'Allo!). Comfortable small-ish room with aircon and minibar at the rear of the hotel was very quiet. Free wifi for all you iPhone... Very friendly staff, very good location. Easy to walk to most of the major sights and in a lovely Breton area of Paris. Room (nr 12) was a little small and the mattress a little uncomfortable but it had a tv and hairdryer and was functional. Breakfast was good with meats, cheese, pastries, eggs, toast, juice, tea, coffee etc. More
