- Derby Garibaldi Paris

I stayed in a triple with two friends and we are absolutely happy with selecting this hotel. The Metro is right across the street and all the major sights are easily accessible from the line. The hotel was convenient to get to and from the airport, within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, and the room was clean and comfortable....

When we arrived to our hotel in Paris, the front desk told us that there had been a water leak and that our room was unavailable. However, they did make arrangements for us at another hotel a few blocks down the street and paid for a cab to take us there.
My wife and I were a bit apprehensive about...

The hotel is typical of many small Parisian hotels - small lift, slightly tired decor, oddly shaped rooms. BUT they are obviously making an effort - the bathrooms have been modernised - albeit in a touch diy-ish manner, free wifi is included, air conditioning has been installed. My own room was massive - a triple (double & twin beds) to...

We largely enjoyed our stay in Derby Garibaldi, the room was tidy, and the breakfasts, while simple were of a high quality. The hotel is very conveniently situated right next to a metro station, from which you can quickly access the main sites of Paris. If you like to walk it is within hiking distance of the main tourist areas...

The bathroom...

Although the hotel has a good location, easy access and the personnel is nice, it features outdated and small rooms, the heating is set too low for the winter and it is overpriced for what it offers. For breakfast you better go somewhere else.

The room was decorated in something that resembles a 1970's American basement, think marigold and rust and nubby blankets. One of my travel companions actually took a lint roller to her sheets...and yes,...

Outside temperature was minus 4 degrees, room was not heated until we complained.
Heating unit broken. Receptionist fixed this although she reminded us that she was only on the weekend shift and could not rectify any major faults until Monday.
No bath plug. Receptionist got one from one of the other rooms. Would not fit properly.
We used a polythene...
