Traveling with friends for weekend in Paris....this hotel was convenient and clean. Breakfast was very good but was a little expensive. Should have been included with room rate. Room was small but comfortable. Elevator does not go to the top floors so if you can not cart your luggage up the steps, stay on a lower level. more

The Mercure Hotel Paris Opera Garnier is very convenient if you want to stay nearby the Paris department stores and businesses around the Opera House. The staff is efficient, rooms are quiet, and there is a great outside patio for breakfast and work (with wi-fi!). This hotel was the choice of our tour group. It was comfortable, with tiny rooms. The staff seemed accommodating and pleasant and everyone spoke English. I stayed here for 3 nights with a European tour group. I really enjoyed my stay. First of all, the location was great. It's a short walk to great shopping. The hotel itself was marvelous. I absolutely enjoyed this hotel. It's clean, well kept and the location is perfect if you want to go shopping - its just 1 minute walk from Le Printemps and Gallerie Lafayette - and not far away from Champs Elysees, Madeleine etc. The rooms are indeed tiny - but this is typical for European hotels - and the overall quality... more
