In Paris, all I want is a clean room, and a good shower, in a hotel well located. The Royal Cardinal is between "average" and "good". The reasons for that are: very tiny room. The bed use almost of the total space. De wardrobe is a practical joke, as is the shower. Not so different of another hotels if the... More

I dont understand some of the other positive reviews. Low expectations for a 2 star hotel perhaps? Dont be tempted to give this poor excuse of an establishment credit for being 2 stars. While being small was expected, the filth and poor condition of the hotel was unexcusable. The room was just plain dirty, with peeling wallpaper as decoration. The... More

I've stayed in this hotel 5 nights, during a professional meeting. The hotel is very good located, with metro station 50 m far and if you walk 10 minutes you'll be next to Notre Damme. Althought, the hotel need some remodelations. The rooms are very small and old. The walls are very thin and it is possible to hear other... More

Lovely old hotel with character. Our room was on the fifth floor, smallish size but quite adequate. Everything was very clean including the small bathroom, thankyou house cleaning staff. All staff were really nice and helpful with any questions we had. There was no aircond in our room so it could get quite warm in the summer months. We found... More

A friend found this little old hotel through Trip Advisor, and a great find it was. Rooms are small, but clean, and hey! Who goes to Paris to stay in a hotel room? I think if you tell them exactly what you want when you book, because as in many old European buildings converted to hotels, each room is a... More

My husband & I stayed here for a week in June 2011, with our 4 adult sons. The rooms while a little small were very clean & comfortable. The windows opened to the street, but once closed there was no street noise. The wireless internet worked fine in the upper floors. My son had hurt his foot the day before... More

y boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and we were very disappointed by the treatment from staff. When we arrived we asked if the breakfast was included and the woman checked and then told us it was. However, when we left they charged us for it as well as a service fee. When we contested it... Paris was the last stop on my Europe trip, and I didn't want to spend too much in the hotel. This place had the basics that I needed. It was a good price compared to similar hotels. Latin quarter was a good location for me. Walked to the hotel from the Gare de Lyon train station. When I left for... More

The hotel and it's helpful staff is very near from Notre Dame and from the Ile d'Cite, room´s quality is not the best but is enough. The breakfast is cheap (6,50€). I recommend it for erveryone. More
