I booked this hotel due to its location and despite the poor reviews. Let me say that if you want a modern fresh hotel, this is not for you. If you want a spacious room with character this is a great place. The room was fantastic, the staff a little arrogant and the location was perfect for us.

The Normandy Hotel is one block from the Louvre. Talk about location! The rooms are spacious compared to any hotels in Europe. It is one of those grand old hotels, but it desperately needs a renovation: floor tiles, exterior and interior paint, etc. The service was fantastic. Concierge was multi-lingual. Restaurants and markets are located nearby.
