I chose this hotel based on a recommendation by my aunt and I was very happy with it. Honestly, I cannot imagine better value in Paris. I stayed in the least expensive room in the hotel - a single room for 45 euros a night - and there is just no way that for the same price you could find... More

My wife, young son and I have stayed several times at this hotel. It is well situated in the 7th arrondissement Rue Cler area, on a traffic free street packed with fresh fruit venders and restaurants - the crepe place across the street is good and there are several cafes up and down Rue Cler. ATM across the street and... More

We had a standard double room to the front of the hotel. The room was small but cosy as it was very cold outside. We had a flat screen TV but only one English speaking channel(CNN news). However we did not go to Paris to spend a lot of time in our room watching television. The room was clean and the bathroom was... More

I've been staying here about once a year for about a decade now. It is a great value at under €100 per night for a double room and the location is unbeatable. Rue Cler has everything you could want in a classic French street and its shops and bistros are fantastic (esp Market Bistro for breakfast). So, I will keep... More

Friendly staff! Room small but enough space to put bags in closet. Own bathroom. Clean. Daily room service good - clean towels etc. Extra pluses = best location! Can walk to the Eiffel tour in about 6 minutes. Metro near by ( one block). Whole street = eating places, flower shops, fruit and vegetable shops and great pastry shop. Wonderful... More

This may have been a decent hotel some years ago, but the owner has not kept up the condition of this property. the photos on the hotel website are no longer accurate, and I doubt that Rick Steve has visited this hotel in years ( although he raves about it in his 2012 edition France guidebook). I booked the hotel... More

I appreciate the location of this hotel whose rooms used to be warm & attractive; it was shocking to see that renovation did not mean improvement, in my opinion. We stayed in room 49 a few days ago and found the room decor grim & depressing, although the shower/wc area is fine (just needs clothes hooks & a shelf). Wifi... More

Just wake up and walk out to the quaint and beautiful Rue Cler, get yourself crepe and a coffee, then walk over to the Eiffel Tower for some inspiration. Or just stroll to the Metro and get a train to anywhere in the city. This location is a perfect base to explore this great city. The hotel is not fancy,... More

We returned to Paris for the 3rd time this November, our last was 12 years ago before our kids were born, and were eager to stay at one of Rick Steve’s favorites (12 years ago) on Rue Cler…Le Grand Hotel Leveque. Needless to say, Rick Steves would cry if he saw the state of this place today! The bathrooms had... More

A very clean room, generous buffet breakfast, central location. Bathroom very small and hard to navigate. For some reason the women desk clerks were very friendly and helpful but the male night desk clerk was really obnoxious and confrontational. I would have to give it a second thought to stay there again when I visit Paris which is fairly often. More
