The hotel is being renovated which does detract somewhat to it's appeal but it is well located across from the Eiffel Tower and a metro stop practically outside the front door. The Mercure is literally cross the street from the DuPleix subway station on line 6. The hotel was a bit tired and needs some work for its price point. The staff did not speak English well, only French, making communication difficult. Cleaning and Housekeeping staff did not speak English at all and communication was rude. I would not recommend it to other travellers, especially those who would be interested in being close to UNESCO. More
