Please be warned that although this hotel is called Hotel des Arts Montmartre it is NOT IN MONTMARTRE, There is a hotel there called simply Hotel des Arts and it is very good. I chose this B&B as I needed somewhere affordable in Paris. For 45 euros (via budget places) I stayed in a tiny room and barely got any sleep. We booked this hotel for a special occasion and mistakenly read the reviews for Hotel des Arts on rue Tholoze in the 18eme (a 3* but worth more) near Blanche Metro station. This one is at max 1* and not worth the €80 price tag. A MASSIVE disappointment. More

Rumour is that Mary and Joeseph could have got a room here but chose the stable. I don't blame them. As smoking is prevalent in hotels in France the rooms smell positively toxic. My room had cigarette burns in the carpet, and bed linen. In fact the bed linen didnt even cover the bed properly. The wifi does't work above... More
