The receptionist was friendly. I can sum this place up in few words. If you have nowhere else to stay and you need a roof over your head for a night or maybe two, stay here. The room we stayed in was dull, musty and claustrophobic. There are no lifts.
The hotel is not the cheapest in town and no breakfast provided. However if you didn't plan in advance, you can still find rooms in this hotel. Location wise, it's very near to Gard de Nord station, hence it's easy access. Hotels nearer to the station are asking easily 50 euro and above while I paid 40 euro for this...

This is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in Paris. DO NOT stay here. Conveniently located near the Gare du Nord, the hotel is filthy with no elevator. Dirty sheets and blankets. No mirror in my bathroom. No toilets in bathrooms; you may have walk down a flight of stairs for that. Rude staff. Does not accept...
