Excellent hotel if slightly pricey but helpful, clean, good rooms (big and airy), nice breakfast and a short walk from everything - would definitely return More

Quick summary: like staying with your aunt with good taste and a sense of comfort, with a view of the Chateau Fontainbleau. We stayed here as our first night on a 3-week tour of France, about an hour's drive from Paris. The hotel is one of charm with individually decorated rooms. Like staying with your aunt with good taste, the... More

This is a comfortable hotel and best suited for visits to Fountainbleu, Vaux le Vicomte and Chateau Rambouillet. You will need to rent a car to see the last two places at your own pace. There appeared to be bus tours as well but be adventurous. You can also visit Versailles from here as it is on the way to... More

Hotel Londres in Fontainbleau was a lovely hotel directly across the street from the Chateau . We had a beautiful view from our lovely room of the Chateau. Breakfast offered was very nice and delicious! Only an hour from Paris, Fontainbleau is a great place to stop for the night if you want to just rest and get over jet... More

Fabulous location overlooking The Palace/Hunting Lodge and virtually in centre of town. The hotel looks as if recently extensively refurbished. Lovely decor, soft furnishings etc. Spacious room comfortable but no bedside table or reading light. No restaurant although good selection within easy walk. All of staff good helpful and friendly More

We loved this hotel. Great location, free high speed internet, great room with large bed, well decorated and welcoming hosts. Well worth the price and with great views of the palace across the street. Walk to many nice looking restaurants and an excellent one right across the street. Strongly recommend staying here. More

Stayed in a gorgeous room with view of the Chateau. Very comfortable and clean, lovely bathroom and great shower. Great location opposite chateau and 2mins walk from centre of town. Parking just next to hotel, very useful. I would suggest some water in the bedrooms but apart from that my stay was excellent. More

We have now stayed in this hotel twice, and I would certainly visit again. The rooms are original and beautiful (a far cry from identikit 'big brand' hotel decor). Each has antique furniture and paintings of the forest. We found our rooms quiet, spacious and the beds very comfortable, rooms opening out onto the cobbled courtyard. There were only three... More

I had the greatest time made possible by Philippe and his hotel personnel. Nothing was too much for them and they assisted me with my travel arrangements to and from Paris, helped me make informed decisions about places I wanted to visit and even made me a lovely cup of tea most evenings before I went to bed (it reminded...
