3 nights at this hotel two weeks ago was a wonderful if pricey experience. I travelled with my husband and good friend of many years. The welcome from the gentleman who rushed out to collect our luggage to the friendly and helpful reception staff was warm and they patiently listened, and seemed to appreciate, my faltering attempts at conversing in... In Champagne you expect to stay in shabby-chic gites and quaint B&Bs; however, we stumbled across this newly refurbished hotel attached to a Michelin-star restaurant and thought we'd try something different. The hotel is situated in the middle of a high-rise housing estate (check out Googlemaps) and only half of it has been refurbished - the other half, in which... More

We stayed here for two nights. The room was very expensive and certainly was not worth the money. Considering it is 165 Euros for one night - there was a hole in the toilet ceiling and a Kimberely Clark toilet roll sheet - the kind you find in public toilets. The painting was all over the place and was really... More

It's very easy to list every single thing you find with a room, especially when the price being charged is very high. Suffice to say the hotel is more what you expect if rated 2 or 3 stars at best. The restaurant is of course, Michelin star quality and price and it's up to each person whether you want to... More

Food was exquisite in the hotel restaurant. We had a food & accommodation package and it was great value. The rooms were beautiful. Free parking and the reception process was fantastic. Seated in their beautiful garden with a glass of fantastic champagne. Highly recommended. Service was faultless. More

This family-owned hotel is not in town, so transportation is needed to get into Reims. We were on a tour, so that was not a problem. I would have liked to walk around though on my own. The grounds are pleasant with pretty flowers. Our hotel room was larger than any others in which we stayed in France and it... More

Excellent value to enjoy the trip to Reims, for the champagne region experience.Although you might need a car to stay here. Its some 25 minutes by walking to town center. The hotel ,63 rooms has a two stars Michellin restaurant by A.Lallement,or the other way round,The restaurant has a hotel attatch to it.Since the feeling is that more attention is given towards restaurant... I was a bit nervous about this place given reviews that said that the Large Rooms are not refurbished. Ours was, and it was very nice, a bargain at the price, clean, attractive (except for some hideous art)and large. The shower was one serious disappointment, it didn't measure up to the overall quality of the room. Service was efficient, a... More

Tues 23 Aug 2011, I called to book the hotel. The reservation person, Julie, at the hotel L'Assiette Champenoise stated that despite the different categories and prices of Junior Suites and Large Room that the hotel offers and charges for, the Junior Suite with Dressing is the same type of room as the Large Room. To make matters worse, the... More

Much of the attraction at L'Assiette Champenoise is the restaurant, which has 2 Michelin stars. I have heard from others who stayed here in one of their original rooms that they are not great, but I was lucky enough to stay in one of their brand new junior suites (opened 2011) which was absolutely beautiful: very large, ultra-modern with spa...
