Le Grand's renovated rooms exude charming 1920's period France. They are very comfortable and all have various themes with colours schemes and sizes to match. The beds are comfy and the decor is good, but although they ahve big flat screen TV's ... there are only two English langauge channels, the BBC and CNN, All the bathrooms are modern and... More

This is the ugliest place I ever slept. Old and smelly. Bathrooms on PVC, not ceramic. Everything is so old tha it has to be demolished and rebuild. More

I liked this hotel. It has a lovely 1930's atmosphere, and has been refurbished with new bedroom furniture and new sanitary ware in the bathrooms. It is a big building so refurbishment is ongoing, I think. The breakfast cost 12 euro which is expensive but there was a lot of choice and the breakfast room is pleasant. The staff were... More

Located right next to the train station, a 5-10 minute walk from the old town centre, Le Grand Hotel is an old hotel whose glory days have long since passed. The entir ehotel needs an overhaul but that is not to say it is dirty or badly run. It's just old. It'd got a rustic air and certainly its a... More

Old hotel across from station. Reception no thrill basic. Carpets are old and worn. Very tiny lift. Rooms big with good bathrooms, no fridge. Walls are thin. Wifi is free but very dodgy.Next to Macdonalds and supermarket. Tourism office is close. Beware when visting chateaus on tours you must also pay an entry fee that can lead to an expensive... More

Tours is a really nice city, full of nice surprises here and there. This hotel was not one of them. Close to the railway station, you could tell from the lobby that the hotel has been long established. The room we stayed in (#128) was freshly decorated, and almost quiet (because the windows were single glazed, you could hear the... More

Spend 3 nights at Le Grand in a upgraded Jr Suite. The room was huge as was the bathroom. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The staff were always willing to give service especially one of the women Who worked at the front desk during the day. The best part of our stay was the location of... More

They gave us a huge room with two beds plus a pull out. By far the largest hotel room we had in France. Big bathroom with deep tub. Our children loved it. Location is close to everything especially the train station. Breakfast buffet was great and the staff very friendly. More
