English hosts were incredibly welcoming, and full of helpful information (but without insisting that you be lectured to). A perfect base for exploring the region, back to the pool for the afternoon with their big flufffy pool towels, and an offer of a glass of local wine and olives....We had a large bedroom upstairs which was good, with a in-suite... What a fabulous place. Dave and Dot, the hosts could not be nicer or more accommodating. The setting is relaxing and beautiful surrounded by vineyards in the middle a lovely Loire Valley village close to Chinon. “Like staying with family - so relaxed!”

Unfortunately we only spent one night at Les Vignes, it was so nice we wished we could have stayed longer! We stayed there en route from Cherbourg to Limoges and it was a great stopover. We arrived at about 8pm and had asked if we could have dinner there. Dot had dinner all ready and we all sat down together... More

Beautiful house with a heated swimming pool set amongst Loire vineyards very close to Chinon. Dot and Dave are lovely people and provided a warm welcome, a taste of French culture and a lovely breakfast of fruits, homemade jams and treats from the boulangerie.
