This is a very well located hotel...you can walk to anything in Dijon. It is also nicely set back from the road in a courtyard, so it is quiet. The building is 14th century I believe, so it has character. The rooms are small, which is fine, but the mattress was VERY soft and should have been replaced years ago.... More

Excellent location on Rue Monge. Pleasant room overlooking courtyard (my wife providing commentary on diners and meals). Walked up and got a room on Friday eve. in summer. Parked in garage at back (bit tight for Espace). Breakfast quite basic (we took in our own cheese) but altogether a very happy experience. More

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days. The room was clean, a bit small, (but aren't they all in France). Room was serviced each day and staff were attentive and friendly. There is a good restaurant just about 20 metres in front of the hotel. The meals there were very good. The location is pretty good, with not far... More

I passed a pleasant stay in this really charming hotel for a very reasonable price. On the other hand, I deplore that the receptionist man does not speak a word about English and does not make any effort. This older gentleman seems a little limited and exceeded. Damage for this hotel which would deserve a person more competent. At this... More

I stayed in this hotel three nights while visiting Dijon. I found the staff to be very kind and helpful. Though the hotel is on a fairly busy street, it is set back away from the street and it is nice and peaceful. Good location; I walked all over, and had lovely meals nearby. The bed and bathroom were quite... More

The room was a bit "basic" but overlooked such a pretty courtyard, a vine-covered trellis and ancient wood beams and cobbles. Very friendly and helpful staff who let us store our bikes in their garage. Slap in the middle of town and good value. More

Good location near square and restaurants. Clean rooms and comfortable. Bathroom large though not modern. Our spacious room had large beams and furniture to match in this old coachouse. However, the room was very hot , especially at night, and on the final day we discovered one of the walls over the large fire in the restaurant below was quite... More

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the station, and about the same from the centre of town. The rooms are a little shabby but clean. Our room overlooked the lovely cobbled courtyard, was beamed, had antique furniture, and a very comfortable bed. Some of the other rooms were more spartan. There were no fans so the rooms were... Comfortable stay at Hotel du Sauvage which has a lovely courtyard with a great old well. Parked our car in the covered garage that is part of the building. Bathroom was more modern than the bedroom, which was fine, just not very new. Could here people coming and going which kept us up the first night but were fine for... More
