We frequently need a stop over in Beaune or the surrounding area to break up a long drive which we make 3-4 times each year. We have therefore stayed in a number of hotels in this area and find that they tend to fall into the "chain" variety (Novotel etc) which are situated on the outskirts of Beaune, and the...

We booked a room through booking.com the day before we were due to arrive, and booked the hotel specifically because of the photographs advertised on the website. On arrival, we were welcomed in by the chef (who was very accommodating but clearly didn't really know what she was doing or what to do with us in the owner's absence). We...

On a recent wine buying trip to the vineyards of Burgundy we stopped here for one night with our 3 month baby.
The owners could not have been more friendly and welcoming, thoughtfully providing us with a cot which we had not requested. We were in the spacious yellow room which was elegantly decorated and beautifully lit with ERCO lighting...

The hotel is well located, within the walls of the city.
We stayed in the yellow room for one night just passing through Beaune. Unless you have mobility problems, that won't be a problem but be minded that there is a rather steep starecase to get to the rooms. The yellow room is on the second floor and we've been...

Via mokis in Beaune is quite different. The Michelin Guide describes it as a restaurant with rooms. This is our second visit, and both rooms (Lyu and Noir) have been great. The staff very helpful. The dinner was excellent. Highly recommended for accommodations as well as dining. You might want to avoid the red room- lots of stairs & lower...

Before going to Beaune, we looked at many places from expensive hotels to B&Bs. Although Hotel Via Mokis had good reviews on Tripadvisor, we were not so sure about the hotel as we found the photos of the hotel rather uninspiring. At the end we decided to stay with Hotel Via Mokis because all other hotels we had in mind...

We had a wonderful 4 night stay here, and couldn't get over the relatively HUGE room we had. Don't miss the amazing gourmet meals also served by the owner/operators. Staying here again is a no-brainer for us when we return to Beaune.

I had booked a room at Via Mokis through www.booking.com. However, at arrival, the hotel had already given my room away, claiming that there was a problem with the reservation. I was then sent to the only hotel available more than 30 minutes away in a completely different town. Despite arriving at the hotel on the day of the reservation,...

We had the most wonderful stay in this hotel.
The rooms are huge, with great bathrooms. If you do not like modern that this is not for you......but for us it was so funky and cool and such a contrast to look out on the old beautiful rooftops, yet be in such a modern environment.
The bed linen and bedding...
