While an ordinary motel-like room, the excellent restaurant and convenient location just up the street from the historical Autun center make this hotel very pleasant and an enjoyable stop for any traveller driving sound Burgundy. The exterior of the hotel fools you into thinking that it will be more luxurious inside than it actually is. There is no doubt that the exterior is beautiful, and the cloister (where you can sit and watch the sun go down) has stunning views. Contrary to some other reviews, we found the location and hospitality at this interesting hotel excellent. We had the best meal of our holiday in the evening, sitting outside in the old cloister with first class food and a wonderful sunset view. We were a very brief walk from the cathedral.
