We have just returned home from a stay in this hotel, it is very pleasant indeed. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room we stayed in was lovely (Cafe) with a bath with shower over and a wetroom, so all options were catered for. The meal in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous, as we expected and there was plenty... More

Not one of my usual stops, or indeed one that I would have planned to use. However, young colleague who is just joining us insisted on makin gthe bookings so I found us at Lecoq. As an historical point, this is where many of the supporters in the Dreyfuss Affaire came to meet. That aside there is little to note... More

If you're tired of corporate chain hotels with no character then this is a nice alternative. Don't be misled by the nodiscript neighbourhood, nor the view from outside, which is not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Once inside you have a choice of the original traditional architecture that has been tastefully renovated and furnished, or... More

This is auite a chaming hotel in a suburb of Rennes. It is actually a series of buiuldings that seem to have been renovated and joined together with linking passageways. There are some interesting architectural details, but more needs to be done to the presentation of the building. Food was OK, but looked better than it tasted. Staff were very... More

The location Yes, it's not in the core center of the city. But a week only in Rennes was enough for me to grasp that it must not be such a bad thing to not be there for anyone needing to rest by night... My fast foot brought me from Place Sainte Anne in 15minutes only, or maybe a little... More

Why I selected this hotel? - Selection of this hotel was made based on proximity to France Telecom / Orange facility. Would be a horrible location if you are a tourist though. - 45 minute walk / 12 euro taxi. About the Room - Rooms have names, not numbers. - Key locks, not card readers (key's are put on cloth... Realising that we would get no further that day, we consulted ( regrettably an out of date) Michelin Guide for a hotel in Rennes and saw this recommended in red as a "pleasant hotel" - the only hotel in Rennes to receive this acclaimation! So we phoned and booked a room and dinner. As others have said, the hotel is... More

Unfortunately I have to concur with the other reviews, which we should have read before planning what was supposed to be a romantic weekend getaway. We live in Paris and know France well. Inexplicably, we relied on the 2005 edition of the Guide Michelin, which was misleading to say the least. The hotel, with its dreary little spa, has all... More

Although the hotel is a bit out of Rennes center (about a 20 minute walk from Place Sainte Anne) and it is difficult to find from the front, it is overall a quality hotel for Rennes. The rooms are clean and provide guests with all the necessary amenities. The reception desk is very helpful and are willing to provide their... More

We stayed at this hotel in august 2007 and we confirm the previous two reviews. This is definitely NOT a 4 star place. Highlights (or maybe LOWlights): a) rooms are way too small: we have a good sample as we stayed in a room on the ground floor and a room on the first floor; both of them had a... More
