It was very easy to find the hotel after arriving in the train station. We used the tram and walked about 3 blocks into the center. It was right off Rue St Catherine, which is where we spent most of our day. Upon arriving, the hotel had a nice reception area, with a few chairs to sit around and relax.... More

Very cosy hotel, in the middle of the centre. All rooms are different, our indian room for 85 Euros was a very nice surprise. The manager was also very helpful. More

My partner and I chose to stay here because it was cheaper than a lot of the other Bordeaux hotels, but we weren't expecting to like it as much as we did. Our room was the "pink room" and was very funny (and a bit saucy!) and was comfortable and clean. It was great value for the price, and on... More

The hotel is located in the heart of the pedestrianized downtown area, and is an easy tram ride from the main train station. It might be a bit difficult to find/park if you're driving, but i arrived by train so it wasn't an issue. The hotel is clean and the staff is excellent. My only real issue was that the... More

As per most reviewers, this hotel was a gem to find. Owner was a real help emailing me all the paperwork I needed for sorting out a shengen visa. Some folk say they had an aircon, but i guess this is not standard. Leaving the windows open on a warm evening is nice but can get noisy with latenight movement... More

Location is great! Cant be better for a weekend in the city of Bordeaux. No elevator, small stair. I stayed in the large room at third floor at it was a large room with a strange decoration some kind of africa theme. Not to my liking maybe but fresh and nice. Comfortable bed, fresh bathroom, seperate toilet, small desk. Great.... More

Great location right in the heart of Bordeaux near the Theatre. We booked a room with a bath which also had a seperate toilet. The room was roomy enough, exactly what I would expect from a 2 Star hotel. Hotel has Cable TV and Wireless internet which was a bonus. The negatives are (1) the noise from the street below... More

Hotel du Theatre does have a great location - right on the longest pedestrianized street in Europe. It's also a short stroll from the the Wine School and Tourism Office. As for the hotel itself, it is very basic. There's no elevator but there is a/c. Rooms are tight but the beds are big and comfy enough. More

I stayed there with my boyfriend last month and we had a great time. The location is perfect, right in the center of the city near the restaurant and a main street for shopping. The room was clean and the owner is very nice. I will go there again! More
