The Patricia is a quiet, charming hotel in a historic building in the old town of Strasbourg. It's one star, so don't expect any luxury (no elevator). But our room (double) was rather large, well-heated, with private shower, no WC though. Rather clean, even though it could need refurbishment, No traffic noise, as the area is restricted to resident travel... More

Very handy budget accomadation with character My advice to the owners/managers would be to take advantage of a unique point of interest about the Hotel Patricia, and that is it's featuring in the modern classic film 'In The City Of Sylvia' - If I were them I would put up some stills/posters of the film and even sell the dvds... First tip is to get good walking directions - there's so many alleys and u really need a good map not to get lost in Strasbourg. and its no fun trying to find ur way with your luggage & the cobble stones. *teeth rattling* Second tip, lower your expectations of Hotel Patricia - its an old building with creaky chairs... This one star hotel enjoys a very good location in the old city area (some 5 minutes walk to the catherdal) in a quiet side street. In has a nice ambiance of an old town house and quite big rooms (anyway, so was mine). The receptionist (owner?) is a very polite guy and... I am affraid this is where the... More

I can only give a review of the outside of the Hotel Patricia as I never actually made it inside.... We booked weeks in advance, and when we arrived the hotel was closed!! at 4pm! we waited around in the -10 degree snow covered street for nearly an hour calling the so called contact number and leaving messages before giving... This hotel is in a great location for seeing the historic areas of Strasbourg. The building itself is quite historic and has lots of character. The rooms are sparse, but clean, and the room we stayed in was quite big. The bathroom was very small, but everything was clean and worked well. This is an excellent home base for Strasbourg... More

After reading the reviews I had some hesitation in regards to the hotel. Once we got there everything was fine. The room was basic but clean. We were given the internet code for free but the connection was not very good; not a big deal since we didn't think there was going to be internet access in the first place.... More

We arrived there in the evening, and it was not clear at all that we had to push the door to enter the vestibule. Since it was completely dark inside, it looked like the hotel was locked and closed. (the motion-sensor light came on inside after we finally figured it out from some people at a gallery next door.) It... More

I was not too sure about booking this hotel after reading reviews which were mostly favourable but some which were negative. I need not have worried. It is a clean, simple, cheap, quiet place to sleep in a great location in the heart of the old city. Don't expect any more than that and you won't be disappointed. The breakfast... More

The staff was informative, kind and gratious. The hotel, which during WW2 was a hiding place for Jews, is also located in a convenient, safe area. Stay here and enjoy! More
