My friend and I stayed one night at the Hotel International whilst in town for a concert. As other reviews have said, you do feel like you've stepped back a few decades when you first enter the hotel -- all the hallways and staircases are filled with photographs of celebrities and movie stars from days of yore. I was initially... More

We spent one night here in November after going to a gig at the Apollo. I chose this hotel mainly for its proximity to Piccadilly, my office and not too far from the Apollo. First impressions weren't great, with the reception staff chatting for 5 minutes before checking in me in. The dirty linen piled on the landing floor in... More

The hotel was fine for one night. We got there late and left before the 7am breakfast. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. It is a great old property but there was the smell of stale smoke in the building. Staff was very friendly and we had no problems with the wifi. Given the price, it's fine for a... More

Stayed for 3 nights with friends.Loved the decor in the public areas. Can't fault the staff on reception or in the restaurant, all very helpful.Don't be alarmed by the two Shar Pei dogs in reception! The room was basic but the beds were comfy and clean. The tea and coffee on the hospitality tray were both fine, and we had... More

We spent 1 night here at this hotel in November; the lodging is basic but good. (More of a No Frills establishment). The staff, were very friendly and helpful. Good Points were: -Location - is great, pretty much opposite the Main Train Station And centre to the City. Only Negative I have was No WIFI in your Room, only certain... More

We stayed at the International for 5 nights, and would not stay again.....Not to worry as they are demolishing the place in 2 months anyways.I am sure this place was great in it's day, but that might have been 30 or 40 years ago. This is a place for a couple of men to go live it up in Manchester... More

We spent one night there, wouldn't want to spend more than a couple. Very basic but also very cheap. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Looked after baggage until train. My friends bed was broke which was quite funny when she fell through it but shouldn't really have happened, she managed for the night...especially after a few... More

Stayed here for a Saturday night out in Manchester, it was basically a base for us to meet (close to Picadilly) get changed, leave our bags and go out all night. We had a nice basic clean room with a double and single bed, a tv with 4 channels and drawers/wardobe. It had a small bathroom with shower, towels and... More

Basic accomadation near Picadilly Station. Walking distance to everything. Could probably do with new matresses and pillows as they are a little flat but the room was warm, the water was hot and there was tea coffee and a tv. No remote for the tv but not a problem. Included breakfast in morning is alright and is cereal, tea/coffee, toast... More

If you need somewhere REALLY cheap to stay in Manchester that is RIGHT next to Piccadilly railway station then this the place for you. I booked a single room with a share bathroom only a week ahead and it was £25 for B&B. The room was tiny and there was no wardrobe, but it was clean, warm and the bed... More
