where to start! my wife and I have just returned from a "romantic" getaway - we were so excited about staying at the Malmasion Manchester having heard so many good things about it. From start to finish the whole trip was horrific. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted after been ignored for ten minutes and told that our... more

I booked to stay at the malmaison on line and booked with my debit card. I went down the day we were supposed to stay and they asked me for my debit card. I did not have this with me as i assumed that they already had my details from my booking. They said they could not take the money... more

A very dark & seedy looking appearance to hotel lobby. A host of lap dancers wouldn't have looked out of place. Lift looked like it doubled as an s&m hot spot. Rooms very average given the price. Excellent location. more

The hotel is well placed and the staff are very helpful. Rooms (family had three different rooms) very small and very, very dark. We were all wedding guests and obviously needed to 'dress the part'! However, the bedrooms were very poorly lit, as was the bathroom. Anybody with contact lenses, like myself, had to squeeze between the basin and toilet... more

The room was nice, the bed was confortable but the price was over £100, without breakfast, nor wireless internet. Hence, I don't think it's worth that much money. However, the location is great: Just accross the road from the station; can't be closer! more

Have stayed here on business twice. If I was visiting for the weekend it would be fine. The hotel attempts to be different by being fashionable in its fit out, read dark! You can also tell it's been done on the cheap (poor paint, tile work etc), although it doesn't pretend to be five star. All in all It's fine,... more

The Malmaison is brilliantly located opposite the exit to Manchester Piccadilly station so it's only a couple of minutes walk. The hotel reception and lobby area is nicely decorated in muted and dark tones of red, grey and black so provides a good contrast to the busy city. Rooms are a good size, with a decent sized bathroom. The bed... more

Stayed at the Malmaison Manchester for 2 nights as I was there on business. The decor of the hotel is very Moulin Rouge - black and red everywhere. The conference rooms were a good size with natural light. If you have a conference room you get free wired internet access - don't forget to ask reception for an access code.... more
