Stayed one night at the Etrop Grange, Manchester Airport. The hotel is in a Georgian house which is lovely, so the rooms have character as well as being perfectly functional. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the parking was free and the breakfast was superb. Highly recommended. more

This place is just like a proper English hotel should be. Even though it's located by the airport it really does feel like a real hotel. A small lounge, a bar, a decent restaurant and clean comfortable rooms. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Only odd thing - the beds have proper bedstaeds & the materss seems awfully high... more

Due to a substantial water leak at Home my wife and I needed some temporary alternative place to eat and lie down. Etrop Grange proved first class. We stayed here as a last minute decision (using lastminute.com) to see a show at the Lowry. From first contact, customer service was superb. From ordering taxis (and making sure that they weren't taken by other guests!) to delivering room service, the staff at Etrop Grange went the extra mile with a smile on their face. Stayed here for one night for a meeting at the Hilton, which is a short walk away. Check in good, lovely Eastern European lady. (Why can't our layabouts be like this?!) Stayed here when I missed a flight from the airport. The price, £110 inc breakfast, was reasonable compared to the other airport hotels on offer that evening. Hotel bus quickly appeared to collect me from the airport. The room was spacious, but featured hairs in the bath and the toilet hadn't been flushed ! The bed was clean, useful tea... more

I stayed at the Etrop Grange one night while on my way back home. Great location, very close to the airport but not under any flight paths. The staff was very kind and fun, very attentive. The hotel is appealing from the outside. The shuttle to and from the airport is very quick and the drivers are friendly and helpful.... more
