This hotel in the heart of Manchester is very good value for money, as long as you do not pay the full rack rate, and is clean and comfortable. Some features are a lttle tired, but this would not stop you enjoying a stay at this hotel. more

when arriving at the hotel we had to wait ages for check in. when we finally got to our room the whole corridor stunk of fags. then the room stunk even worse. it was like going back 20 years, the rooms were old and in need of attention. at breakfast the staff were grabbing their breakfast the same time as... more

Stayed for one night got really good deal £64 for DBB staff were great, food was good and room clean and adequate. Problem with my room was location on first floor and on side of hotel next to Bus Station with buses coming and going all night, no good for sleeping if you need an early night. Ask for a... more

I have stayed for 2 nights in early October to see a football match. I lived in a single room in the ground floor. The most important problem is very noisy in weekend! There is a pub in the basement of the hotel. In the nights of weekend, the pub opens until 1 am with very noisy music. In the... more

Recently spent a miserable night at this hotel. The room had tired furnishings, minimal TV options and the walls were so thin I was kept awake most of the night by a snorer in the next room. Almost worse was the fact that someone had either been smoking in the room or they had failed to undertake a deep clean... more

After booking the hotel I read the reviews on this site and was very worried about our stay. The purpose of our visit to Manchester was for my husband to have tests at the Infirmary over 2 days and we wanted somewhere he could be comfortable in between times. From the minute we arrived for early check in the staff... more

stopped for 1 night in October in a small but adequate single room. While being small. it had its own en-suite,was clean, and had all the usual facilities a room has.Unfortunatly the room was dark due to there only being a small window( to be fair the hotel does explain that some rooms are like that) and the single bed still... more

Second stay this year, we stay purely for location and price(you could have stayed for as little as £28 the night we stayed). It's quite "tired" in many ways but the room(superior suite for £55/nt) was quite large, quiet, clean and tidy. A little scruffy though, with marked tables and shabby curtains. Minor points - one cup and saucer instead... more

The location is great, it about a 5 minute walk from the train station or a 1 minute walk from the tram station. The hotel is quite grand inside and out. The rooms were a fine and the staff were pleasant. It offers good value rooms. more
