Stayed one night meeting friends. Lovely modernisation of old building with imaginative decor. Room at rear of hotel was attractive and quiet. Easy walking distance of restaurants. Recommend the Golden Dragon Chinese which was great (and still serving after 9.00pm unlike some others locally). Breakfast was very good although serving staff seemed a bit bewildered by the idea of clearing... More

Booked through an agent and paid £90ish. Thought that was quite good. When we arrive family heavy, found a few problems. Parking was difficult as it was over a busy road and a bit of a pain - also the car park is a bit of a wreck, full of potholes and litter. Check in was good, lift was clean... More

Needing to stay overnight in Lancaster on a business trip last week, I consulted tripadvisor and chose Penny Street Bridge. I was not disappointed. The hotel is within walking distance of the railway station. (Upon leaving the station, walk towards the City Centre and turn right at Waterstone's bookshop into King Street. It's about 10 munites' walk.) My room was... More

Lovely room, so quiet even on the busy A6 road, triple glazed windows, comfy beds and nice warm room. We had the Sunday carvery meal and it was great, drinks a little pricy, but we weren't too worried about that. Breakfast really tasty. Decor brilliant, loved the mirrors placed at angles up the stairway, lots of character and will definitely... More

Lovely hotel, nice atmosphere. Great food and helpful staff. Parking consists of 3 spaces. More parking close by but council run not anything directly to do with the hotel. More

Very beautiful building in the centre of town. Fabulous bar/restaurant with good food. Lovely old building with character everywhere you went. Pretty outdoor patio too. Separate hotel reception off the bar area. Interesting bedrooms with high ceilings. Elegant furniture and antique mirrors etc. Very happy with our stay and would definitely return. Only drawback would be lack of much on-site... More

We also stayed here following football at Morcambe (Green Army!). The rooms are small but absolutely fine in terms of facilities and comfort. Milk is available for tea/coffee but as it is fresh milk you are given a flask by reception. Like the previous reviewer, we weren't given this on checking in but because I read a previous review on... More

My wife and I have just returned from spending the night at this lovely hotel after spending the afternoon watching football at Morecambe. Many thanks for your excellent review. On the nit picking front, we do have spare pillows in each wardrobe and our receptionist should have given you a flask of fresh milk on arrival. We hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards Paul Spencer - Manager More
