We visit Lancaster every 6 - 8 weeks to visit family and by far this is the best option and value for money. The Holiday Inn and premier Inn are soulless, yes this needs tlc and breakfast was somewhat chaotic but it had character and wasn't on an industrial estate ... Oh and it cost £40! Yes it was noisy... Wonderful hotel for value, everything in the room you could need. I have a yorkshire terrier no extra charges applied which is very unusual. Would recommend 100%. Friendly staff and location for early train/ shops is ideal.

The first thing to say is DO NOT miss the car park entrance otherwise it's another 25 minute tour around Lancaster's hopeless one way system. loved the lift.. and if it wasn't there because someone had left doors open.. so what it was nice to walk down the elegant stairway .. breakfast was adequate.. bar and evening meal non existent so we didn't feel guilty about not paying hotel prices for these.. the pub across the road had great food , great beer and fantastic...
