Spent an excellent weekend at The Stork. The Inn itself is brilliant, the food... second to none and the staff are really nice people. The owner is very customer orientated and nothing is too much trouble for her. We do NOT easily give this kind of recommendation. Needless to say, we shall be visiting The Stork more often. Cannot speak... More

Stayed for one night and also ate in the restaurant. The hotel part is OK, rooms quite small but well presented, bathrooms also v small. Lots of little staircases and narrow corridors to navigate. The letdown was downstairs in the main bar area. It was just tired. The furniture, carpet and lighting wasn't good. We found a small ante-room that... More

My wife and I together with other friends have just spent a weekend at The Stork Inn. We found the accomodation to be very good, The bedrooms are well furnished and equipped with good views over the marshes. The breakfasts were excellent and a good selection of evening meals including South African dishes. The staff are pleasant and helpful and... More

Following an unpleasant medical test at Royal Preston we decided to head north and enjoy an impromptu lunch as a little reward. A visit to Glasson Dock was the outcome. Not a very good idea on a rainy Monday in April as we soon found out. The place was deserted, the Caribou has been turned into flats and the Victoria... More

The Stork Inn more than lived up to expectations. The accommodation was some of the most comfortable we have ever had in terms of space, character, comfort and cleanliness. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast was the best full English breakfast we have ever had and the two dinners we had were outstanding, particularly the Thai green fish... More

Lovely welcoming place, all staff very friendly and happy to please. The food menu had a great choice of local and South African themed food. The room I had was a single room with plenty of space with great facilities and lovely views from the window. A short journey from Lancaster town centre which keeps it nice and quiet with... More

We had looked at the website before arriving and were happy to note that everything was as described and more. The welcome was most friendly and our room very comfortable and homely. We overlooked the garden at the back of the pub which meant that it was nice and quiet with no passing traffic. On the evening of our arrival... More

A great warm welcoming and fantastic service too. It was pleasing to see that the menu was well thought through and had classic Welsh dishes on the menu to celebrate the recent saint davids day. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed our meals, some of the group had the south African food and some had the hearty beef... More

We found ourselves at The Stork following a recommendation from a local brewery as one of our group of 6 is from South Africa and was excited to hear there was a South African influenced pub nearby. The welcome we got was lovely, the staff were really attentive and friendly, nothing was too much for them, this just adds to... More
