My first stay at the Horns was just right its location is out in the sticks but no matter it was quiete and very peaceful ,comfortable accomadation and good food together with a roaring open fire too , parking was easy and spacious and my room (5) was just perfect , the bathroom was right up to date with plenty... We booked Sunday Lunch at the Horns Inn for 29 family and friends to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. The service was excellent from start to finish - nothing was too much trouble. Although the bar area is small 29 of us arriving in a short space of time did not cause problems - the service was quick and very... More

We decided to eat here after reading to positive reviews, we ignored the bad reviews ( big mistake!) We did not stay, and so cannot comment on the accomodation. On entering the place the first impression is that you have stepped back to the 1950's, if you enjoy plastic flowers on the table and bright flourescant lighting in the dining... More

Further to your review of our 17th century Inn, I am sorry that it was not modern enough for you. All parts of the building are being constantly refurbished, but never modernised as the Inn is almost 300 years old that would be a big shame. Our style of food is traditional and we use as much locally sourced produce... More

It looked a little odd from the outside, but the welcome was friendly, the accommodation was good and the food was excellent. It is a great place to stay for the tourist and business traveler alike, and the broadband was free. I would especially recommend the roast duck, not to be missed! More

This was our first time at the Horns Inn. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful we started with coffee, and instead of one small cup we got a pot and jug of warm milk, one pot supplied 6 cups of excellent coffee. We all chose the steak and kidney pie which was the best we had in years. The... More

Have just arrived home from anothr great meal -- my husbands love of the beef soup and duck is second to none-- but he did have the turkey when we dined there on Christmas Eve lunch time!! Ok so we are in our early 60 ' s but our daughter and son in law (who also enjoyed Christmas Eve )... More

My husband and I have been visiting Ye Horns for the last 30 years, We have tried other establishments in the North West, but in our opinion, Ye Horns Inn is by far the best! The food served is of excellent standard on every single occasion, we have never been disappointed, nor had any cause for complaint. The atmosphere is... More

My family have been visiting the 'Horns' for the last 60 years or so and my wife and I have been enjoying it's hospitality for 50 of those. Our order is exactly the same as it was all those years ago, their specialism which is, Home made soup and Duck plus occasionally their Sticky Toffee Pudding, when we are not... More

It was over 25 years ago the last time I ate at Ye Horns Inn. Since then it's management has changed, I have lived in various parts of the North West & have expanded my waistline. I have eaten in establishments around the world, from dainty cafes to posh nosh. Yet those bygone youthful first flourishes into the big world... More
