a bland hotel that presumably makes its money from corporate guests in the week and weddings at weekends. It also accepts coach parties. The Saturday we stayed we were working around a wedding party filling the bar and a coach party filling the restaurant. This involved buying food from tescos and eating in the room. The room was OK. Continental...

Requested twin room through booking.com. This was confirmed via email. Long drive, pre-funeral, arrived about 8 p.m. Trudged through hotel. Opened door, only to find we had been allocated a double room. Back at Reception, and had to wait while staff checked that a twin room had been made up. Eventually found our room, which was on a lower ground...

Clean room, friendly staff, interesting features. This my second visit for work and on both occasions the service was friendly. Wifi not actually available in my room either time, although free! The swimming pool is small but just right for a relaxing swim. The food is as you would expect from a large conference type reps hotel.

Receptionist was fairly efficient but somewhat curt & didn't suggest a morning call or newspaper so lost a...
