Stayed here last night and was pleasantly surprised. For £30 + £7.65 for all you can eat breakie, it was great value. Every member of staff was helpful and curtious. The room was basic, but it was clean, everything worked and it was very warm. Sure, if you opened the window, you could hear the traffic, but you're in a... More

I was really pleased with my stay at Maidstone Central Travel Lodge, on arrival at around 5.30pm there was a young man at reception who's name i did not get. He was extremely friendly and supportive and made us feel very welcome. The next morning on our departure there were two nice blokes at reception who's names were Chris and... More

I have stayed at this particular Travelodge before and have been satisfied with the accommodation. However, this time I was given a small double bedroom which, because of its size, lacked the furnishings that are usually available. There was no second chair; no chest of drawers or shelving; no wardrobe, just an open hanging rail; no bedroom mirror; no TV... More

We stayed at the Maidstone lodge for three nights. On the first evening whist we were in bed a stranger let herself into our room using a key card issued at reception. This was very awkward and embarrassing and clearly should never happen. I was told that the key issuing is separate from room allocation and there appears to be... More

We have stopped in a fair few Travelodge's in our time, and this is exactly what you would expect from a Travelodge. A functional room with the basics - a bed, tv, towels and tea / coffee making facilities. When we checked in we were asked to sign a disclaimer about noise and damage - I wondered what we were... When arriving at this travelodge last Saturday night, we were greeted by a telehone, not a receptionist, to check in. After using the phone to call for a staff member, 2 people eventually turned up 10 minutes later. Upon entering our room, only 1 light worked, but rather than go and complain to reception, we decided not to bother because... More

This hotel is in the centre of Maidstone right by the river. It is a no frills hotel the rooms are basic but very clean, the beds are comfortable and the shower is adequate. It is an ideal place to stay for a long weekend if your looking to explore the county of Kent. The staff are friendly and very helpful... More

A Travelodge hotel room is fundamentally a pretty depressing place. Having said that, they're often dirt cheap and usually pretty clean - this one is spotless and relatively new. Decor is standard Travelodge stuff, jazzed up by a bizarre light running the length of the headboard which casts the room in a kind of weird, seedy orange glow which I... More

This Travelodge is easy to find and is usually cheaper than staying at the Ashford one. Its only about 15 extra minutes travel to the Tunnel or ferry so works out much better value. The car park was full so we had to park at the adjacent Asda. This was no problem and not far to walk. Check in was... More
