Things got off to a bad start when we were shown our room. We had booked a double (clearly stated on the confirmation we had with us) but we were given a twin. Ashamedly, it took us six months to properly investigate the wonderful village that is Stony Stratford - even though we are based just down the road at Wolverton! And what a great place we have been missing!!! A number of fabulous pubs, bars and restaurants along one long high street, but our favourite turned out to be The Old George...... More

Good comfortable rooms with all usual facilities. Nice breakfast well cooked with good ingredients. Good selection of beers in the public bar Right in the heart of town. Only Negetive is lack of parking spaces One way system means you now have to enter from the old stratford end of Stony.

Period building with friendly staff and a great breakfast, right in the middle of the Hight Street surrounded by restaurants of all types, or there is bar food in the decent and warm bar (it was minus 6 outside and lovely and warm inside the bar) in the evening, Not sure what more you want really. My work booked me in to the old George while in Milton Keynes . A delightful period building with great bar area. My room was in the back annex, a converted stable block and although small offered everything I needed for my 1night stay

Stayed for one night last week on business. Room was a good size and clean but a little dated in style. Breakfast was a good size, tasty and was served very quickly. Good prize (£45) for the night.
