Wonderful hosts who made us feel more like friends than guests. Beautifully appointed bedroom 'Besselow', named after a vicar. Lovely finishing touches to the room, home made biscuits, variety of teas and mineral water available in the room, flowers from their beautiful garden, luxurious towels and robes, eggs for breakfast from their unusual breed hens, and a lovely cream tea... What an absolute delight this place is - Both Rosemary and Adrian made us feel so welcome in their home -all the little extra touches make this place so special. The room was suberb - the bed so comfortable and the breakfast was first class. I feel like we have made some friends and cant wait to go back. Thanks... More

We stayed here for two nights and were looking for a little relaxation away from work and kids! That is exactly what we got thanks to a fantastic location, great room and attentive, but not over-bearing hosts. From the point at which you arrive and are presented with homemade tea and cakes to the point you leave, Adrian and Rosemary... More

Many thanks for your feedback. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay here and hope you will come again. I am writing this response on my laptop in the Clayton room to check the WiFi. We offer the service and therefore want to ensure it is available without any hiccups, but it is fine at the moment. The... More

I stayed at The Old Rectory for 10 nights as I was working at nearby Blists Hill over February half term. Like the other reviewers, I cannot fault it. Adrian and Rosemary are fantastic, welcoming hosts; nothing was too much trouble for them. The Rectory is stunning (and comfortable) and the food is lovely - breakfast and evening meals. The... More

We went up on business to nearby Weston Park and thought we'd combine it with a night away from work, children and school runs. Well, what a find! Our stay was just sublime. No other word for it. A beautiful place, elegantly decorated, sumptuous, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Rosemary is a superb cook. We had the evening meal served in... More

We just spent one night with our two kids on our way through to London in Rosemarie´s and Adrian´s (and their dogs´) lovely place. You feel all the love they put into their place in every detail. Excellent breakfast. Sorry, we couldn´t stay longer. Forget 5-star hotels - if you want to feel good chose the Old Rectory of St.... More

I have stayed with Adrian and Rosemary on two occasions whilst on business. On both occasions my colleagues and I found their guest house/hotel to be friendly, accomodating, comfortable, clean and peacefull. The afternoon tea was so well received having spent ten hours travelling and then building a stand at the local exhibition hall. Not something that you would receive... More

We have just returned from a five night break at The Old Rectory which was the perfect place to relax.
