Our family had a wonderful Christmas Lunch here this year, the food was lovely and the service outstanding! We were not rushed and were allowed to enjoy our meal at our own pace. Every effort had been made to make it a homely and enjoyable time for everyone and everyone from young to old seemed to enjoy it. It was... More

Well its not bad news. This is the third year i have sent engineers to do some work in Swindon area. One has just come back from work in Motels over Canada and Sweden so living out a bag is not unusual. Anyway they stayed a total of two nights each week over 2 weeks. Being the bill payer I... More

Hi John, Thanks for your kind review. I have to say did enjoy our telephone chats. Nice to know you would book again and your guys were happy. To be fair we didn't see a lot of them, you clearly work them too hard:):):). Thanks Again Bob More

For some years, on behalf of Pendon Museum, I have been taking organised groups to the Carpenters Arms at South Marston for lunch. Sometimes this is a full coach load and sometimes it’s a convoy of cars. Bob and Barbara always make us very welcome and, very importantly for an organised day out, the food is always ready to serve... More

We stopped over for one night, to break up the journey from Cornwall. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything that we needed, lovely to find a bath as well as a shower. The food was good and competitively priced. Very friendly owners we were made to feel very welcome. Would like to return in the future. More

This is ideal place to stop as a work overnight or for longer stays. I stayed approximately 3 months and would not hesitate to stay again. It is reasonably priced and the accommodation is a good size with nice facilities. Pub has good food at reasonable prices More

Thank you so much for your kind review we do our best to ensure all guests have a nice stay. I have passed on your kind words about the food to my wife, herself a vegetarian, hence the range available. Look forward to seeing you soon. More

I arranged a business party lunch for 20 colleagues, we all agreed the venue was excellent, very spacious restaurant, plenty of free parking, excellent disabled access and facilities. Food was well presented, very wide choice of lunchtime menu including very wide choice of vegetarian meals too. The meals were served piping hot - even to the last mouthful from the... More

Working up and down the country you take pot luck a lot of the time when choosing your next home from home. I have been known to take one look and keep driving till I find something nicer! Well that certainly wasn't what happened when I pulled up outside the Carpenters Arms. A great little country pub, with fantastic food... More

The food was so good and the room was so comfy that we decided to stay another night. The shower was the best one I've had on our holiday so far. I loved the selection of music (classical) in the dining room. Check in and check out were quick and hassle free. Plenty of room for parking and a very... More

How Julie, Barbara and I are so pleased you enjoyed your stay, and you felt so comfortable that you stayed another night. As for the music, I personally hate loud obtrusive, toneless stuff blaring out. Many people comment about the relaxing nature of the music. Once again thanks for your kind words. More

What can I say? This is not a corporate hotel, but a small country pub with chalets attached. The rooms are a good size and clean; the hosts are very friendly and helpful; and I can thoroughly recommend the food! Excellent value and a refreshing change from the ananymous corporate hotels. I've stayed there many times and wouldn't consider anywhere... More
